Very boring.
I eventually replaced his decorations with a more eclectic selection. However, the plastic tree remained for a few years until we bought a better artificial tree. As the years went by, our second tree looked a bit worn and so we searched around for the latest style with the lights already attached.
I like artificial trees. They are economical. They don't shed pine needles.
How about you? Real or artificial?

We have artificial, b/c hubby prefers them, but I love real trees. Fir, or spruce... the smell, the look...I know they are more work, and less economical, but growing up my daddy always took my little sister out into the woods near our home and chopped down a tree and drug it home.
There's just something about a real tree at Christmas.

To avoid boring ormnament problems, try decorating your tree with live hand grenades, hanging by the pin. That will make things less boring, especially if you have cats or little kids who like to climb the tree!

Once when I was young, my family went out and chopped down and tree and brought it home. It was fun.
I like the smell of pine trees, too. But the fake ones are so much simpler to deal with.

Actually, I can envision fake hand grenades as ornaments on a tree. It could be a combat-themed tree with bullets, small helmets, etc. :-)
