Get a FREE Book During Read an Ebook Week

If you haven't tried an ebook until now, here's your big chance to get many of them for FREE or at very reduced prices! I read both paper books and ebooks. I like them both, but an ebook does have many advantages. If you want a list of the advantages, I found a good one. Read Ten Advantages of E-book Readers.

I have owned many ebook readers, right now I own a Nook with the Glow Light. (It's small and light--big advantage right there.) However, I also download ebooks into my phone and my iPad. I have a Kindle app for my phone and my iPad. I have iBooks on the iPad as well. I actually read a lot of ebooks on my phone. Right now I'm reading Gulliver's Travels on my phone. (Very trippy book.)

At Smashwords, for this week only, you can download for FREE PRINCE OF THE MIST, my wonderful fantasy story about Wildon Forest, one of the Sidhe, who lives in the Catskills. He's a handsome fellow.

So follow this link PRINCE OF THE MIST. Grab the coupon code on the right side of the book page at the Smashword's site. and get a FREE book. FREE is fantastic. :-)

You're going to hate this, but I have found that if I do a Google search for almost any book title, and add a ".PDF" at the end, I find the book in PDF format and can put it on my Kindle..

I have an original kindle and have never seen any reason to try anything else. The "glow" sounds cool, so you can read at night,

Mark,

Unfortunately, I know there are many book pirates out there in cyberspace, and my books have been pirated. :-( When authors contact the owners of book pirate sites to demand they stop giving away copyrighted books, the sites will vanish--and then appear somewhere else. It is a problem.

I started out with the original Rocket ereader--which had a backlight, but not much memory. Then I bought the next ereader, which was essentially a rebranded Rocket ereader put out by Gemstar. It had more memory though less of the features I loved in the original Rocket--though it still had the backlight.

From there I went to the first Nook. It was far, far better--but it did not have a backlight!!!!!

I got the iPad. It had lots of light, but it's a bit heavy to carry around in my handbag. I started downloading books to my phone, which is always with me.

However, I had a whole bunch of giftcards to Barnes & Noble so I decided to try the little Nook with Glow. It's a good gadget, small, light, with lots of memory. It doesn't do email or browse the web--which is a good thing sometimes so I can concentrate.

I still read paper books, too. I still have a paper newspaper to read everyday.

I like words. Lots of them. In whatever way I can read them. :-)
