Fleamarket Photo

This is one of my favorite photos of hubby taken not long after we were married. It makes me laugh--but he is still going to fleamarkets and antique stores and looking through junk to find gems. He used to collect old records--truly ancient stuff. However, he gave that up and now runs around the fleamarkets looking for old accordions. Sometimes, he finds them.

Just curious - where are you guys when that pic was taken and what is the stuff he is going through??

I took the photo at the Englishtown Auction in Englishtown, NJ. Hubby is standing in a pile of rubbish--I assume it was stuff that didn't sell and was simply left there. However, he found some records in all that trash. I don't recall if he took any of them.

I prefer the term: "Yard Saleor" (sailor)

I just call it somebody else's stuff. I have too much stuff of my own, but hubby loves to sort through other people's stuff. He thinks he's going to find something wonderful. :-)

I really miss the Englishtown market! There's NOTHING like it in the Atlanta area.

Hubby's latest favorite flea market is now the one in Columbus, NJ. It's west of Fort Dix on Rt. 206. It's quite a long trip from our house, but definitely worth it!

If you come to NJ for a visit, check out the Columbus Flea Market. :-)
